Valvominen uskossa 

Uskovaisella on Pyhä Henki asuvaisena sydämessä, vaikka meille tulee heikkouksia ja kaikki ei lähde Pyhästä Hengestä, jos uskonasioita käsittelemme omasta järjestä ja voimasta. Tosin uskon valaisema ymmärrys tarvitsee aivotoimintoja fyysisiäkin voimia, kun toimimme Jumalan mielen mukaan. Raamatun mukaan on syntejä, jotka ovat kuolemaksi, siis tulee hengellinen kuolema, jossa Pyhä Henki lähtee sydämestä. Voi olla nimi, että elää ja on kuitenkin kuollut. Kun ylkä tuli oli viisi ymmärtäväistä ja viisi tyhmää neitsyttä. Tyhmillä neitseillä oli kyllä uskon lamppu, mutta siinä ei ollut Pyhän Hengen öljyä palavana ja valaisevana.

Tosin Pyhä Henki voi nuhdella ihmistä ja herättää ihmisiä, vaikka Pyhä Henki ei ole asuvaisena heidän sydämessään. Emme voi toisesta uskovaisesta emmekä itsestäkään sanoa, ettei hänellä tai itselläni olisi Pyhää Henkeä, silloinhan me tavallaan kiellämme oman ja muiden uskon. Jumala on sydämen tutkija. Ajallisessa mielessäkin on onnettomuuksia ja sairauksia, jos niitä ei hoideta voi tulla kuolema. Samoin on hengellisessä mielessä, ellemme tee synneistämme parannusta, ne johtavat hengelliseenkin kuolemaan. On myös sairauksia, jotka eivät ole kuolemaksi, mutta ne hankaloittavat elämää, ellei niitäkin hoideta. Niin meillä myös voi olla matkan pölyä ja kiven muruja kengässä, joita myös tulee pestä ja ottaa pois. Lihan saasta ja hengen saasta on pahasta, jos hyväksymme niitä ja menemme tahallamme niihin. Jos uskovainen on menettänyt Pyhän Hengen, ei hänellä ole myöskään Pyhän Hengen saarnavirkaa, jolla voisi auttaa muita. 

Omasta kohdasta tunnen kuin Pyhä Henki olisi vain hyvin heikkona kipinänä, tosin tuntemuksiin ei voi luottaa, olimme kylmiä tai palavia, kun emme ole penseitä. Jokaisen meistä tulee valvoa ja panna syntejä pois, kun ne tarttuvat ja niihin joutuu, että säilyttäisimme uskon ja hyvän omantunnon ja Pyhä Henki säilyisi asuvaisena sydämessämme. Kirkastukoon meille aina synnit synneiksi ja armo armoksi. Yhteydessä muihin, puuhun, Kristuksen seurakuntaan, ruumiiseen elämän vesi virtaa meihin ja emme kuole kuivina oksina ja joudu iankaikkiseen tuleen heitettäviksi.

Watching in faith

A believer has the Holy Spirit dwelling in the heart, even though we have weaknesses and not everything comes from the Holy Spirit if we handle matters of faith with our own reason and strength. Of course, understanding illuminated by faith requires brain functions and physical strength when we act according to God's will. According to the Bible, there are sins that are unto death, so there is spiritual death, in which the Holy Spirit leaves the heart. It can be said that one lives and is still dead. When the bridegroom came, there were five wise and five foolish virgins. The foolish virgins did have the lamp of faith, but it did not have the oil of the Holy Spirit burning and illuminating it.

In denying faith, one loses the Holy Spirit. David fell into the sins of fornication and murder, in which the Holy Spirit also left the heart. Of course, the Holy Spirit can rebuke a person and awaken people, even though the Holy Spirit does not dwell in their hearts. We cannot say of another believer or of ourselves that he or I do not have the Holy Spirit, for then we in a way deny our own and others' faith. God is the searcher of hearts. In the temporal sense too, there are accidents and illnesses, which if not treated can lead to death. The same is true in the spiritual sense, if we do not repent of our sins, they will lead to spiritual death. There are also illnesses that are not fatal, but they make life difficult if they are not treated. So too, we may have dust from the journey and stone chips in our shoes, which must also be washed and removed. The filth of the flesh and the filth of the spirit are evil if we accept them and deliberately go into them. If a believer has lost the Holy Spirit, he or she also does not have the ministry of the Holy Spirit with which he or she could help others.

From my point of view, I feel as if the Holy Spirit is only a very weak spark, although feelings cannot be trusted, we were cold or burning when we are not lukewarm. Each of us must watch and put away sins when they take hold and get into them, so that we would maintain faith and a good conscience and the Holy Spirit would remain dwelling in our hearts. May sins always be clarified for us as sins and grace as grace. In connection with others, with the tree, the church of Christ, the body, the water of life flows into us and we do not die as dry branches and be thrown into eternal fire.

These were serious texts, we must approach them with fear and trembling, so that we would be saved. The love influenced by the Holy Spirit drives out false fear and we can safely and confidently continue our journey, supporting each other. God gave judgment to the Ninevites through prophets, for example through Jonah, but when they repented, He did not carry it out. But later history shows that when they returned to a life of sin without repenting, Nineveh was also destroyed. King Hezekiah was also sentenced to die, but when his sins of self-righteousness and complacency were revealed to him and he repented, he was given 15 more years to live. God's severity is also love, and the law is preached as if there were no gospel and the gospel as if there were no law.

Let all believers remain free from grace to believe. Each of us can pray that if our path is troublesome, that God would lead us to the right path. When the bridegroom arrived, both the wise and the foolish virgins were sleeping. Falling asleep and becoming drowsy and hardened can happen slowly without us noticing it. Let us advise one another all the more as you see that day approaching. Jesus said: I will lift, I will carry, I will take you there. Jesus is with his own to the end of the world.
